I purchased two pairs of shoes from this business. Both for work. I worked with the associate Izaya both times. He was polite, extremely professional and knowledgeable. I explained to him my needs and he was very patient through the process.
I first purchased a pair of Dansko Trevors for use in an office environment and canvass work, second was a pair of Merrell's for use in a hospital environment. Both have held up to their task and I am grateful for the advice of the associate.

I usually buy my shoes online because I need orthotics for foot and back problems, but I was visiting another business near this store and decided to give them a try. Boy am I glad I did! They measured my feet (turns out I was wearing the WRONG size!) and helped to get me perfectly fit. I bought 2 pair of shoes (athletic and work shoes) and an orthotic insert. A few weeks later I went back because I felt there was too much slippage on one of the shoes and they added some inserts to the front part to correct the problem (and didn't even charge me). Also the owner is very nice and the sales associate too. They have earned a new loyal customer in me! I will definitely be back and highly recommend them to anyone need the right fit and great service. Thank you!

My husband and I were both referred for different issues to Mike here at A Proper Fit by our master pedicurist at Footprints to Wellness. My husband was referred there because he had hard calluses on his feet that were keeping proper foot care more difficult and uncomfortable. I was referred there because I recently developed sciatica and knew I probably wasn't wearing the best shoes to help with that.
My husband asked for whatever the best shoe/orthotic is for his situation, but also slip-on, and vegetarian (no leather/suede), and they found him a great shoe and fitted him properly and with an orthotic. He wears them every day, and our pedicurist has pointed out the positive effect they caused with his calluses!

He watched how I walked in my current shoes and looked at my arches, and concluded that the leg my sciatica is affecting is pronated inwards. He said I would need a shoe that was much stiffer than what I was wearing, to keep my ankle from leaning in, and with orthotics and an extra wedge for support, and he got me a great shoe first try. He even asked if I was in pain at that moment, that he could tell I was, so he was sensitive to that. They double checked no animal products used, only fabric. They're bigger than the type of shoe I'm used to wearing, but they're even a bit pretty. More importantly, they feel great and immediately seemed to take some of the more intense sciatica pressure off. I'm going to be wearing them every day too! He also recommended acupuncture and a chiropractor who can help with limb measuring.
We also each purchased a pair of slippers that he recommended that offer the support we both need. We know confidently when we walk in, that Mike will take thorough time to assess what we best need, and that we will walk out with shoes that will make us feel great and last us a long time. I was having terrible problems with my knees and went in to get orthotics and all the staff were very helpful , and I can't recommend them strongly enough . If you need help....go into Proper Fit Footwear...you'll never regret it . Thank you all so much , I'll always come back to you when I need help .
